Around my Homestead

It was a Sunday morning, when I step out my door to go visit around my Homestead. The beauty of the Redlands and anticipation of the early days of the month of October felt my heart with anticipation. I know our fields will be dress by our farmers with the needs of the tables near and abroad. In the runways of our land there will be a collection of entire product needed for the holidays to come. The lens of my camera captures some of the images I want to share with you. The sticks are high to aid the pole beans growth while the zucchinis lay low. The weather is perfect, inviting you not to rush home. If I had a picnic basket, I would know where to go to feel it up. With fresh vegatebles and bake goods in mind, Pass the sigh of the Redlands I spotted the first stop. “Robert Is Here” disappointed by the banner that said “back ON OCT.31″ I move on to the other side of the Redlands in pursuit of another spot. This is where I found the sigh that said “Father an Son”, was it divine? You tell me! I found myself in the way to the Spice Park when across the way I spotted a small little fruit stand “Jaimes Fresh Products” inside the stand a handsome young man name Jose, outside the field his Dad Humberto. The welcoming and informative time I spend with them captivated me never making it to the Spice & Fruit Park. Well, I guess not today. What began to unfold in front of me was beginning to give life to my early picture “Father an Son” Jose a college student during the week and a helper to his Dad on Weekend enjoy sharing about the fields his father grows. Jose also gave me inside on a well know Mexican ice Tea made out of lemon grass call Aguas Frescas .“It was news to me”. He suggested I take a piece of grass and squeeze it. As I took the grass in my hand and smell it, AH that lemon scent. Tea Time! The father Humberto invited me to return next Sunday were they will have cook corn on the cop. This Father and Son have turned my Sunday into a tale to tell. As I drive away I’m challenge not only to return to visit them but to take time to see more of my Homestead while bringing alone the picnic Basket and a blanket. Packing just some free spirit to grasp it all. Would I be faithfull and come back? I hope I do I want to be bless with the bounty they yield to their faithful farmers time after time. ADIOS AND TO NEXT TIME! Maybe from the fields.
